وقد اجتمع الملوثون للبيئة

حكام
الدول الصناعية الكبرى يجتمعون في اليابان. ومجموع النفايات التي
ينفونها بينهم, تقرب من سبعين في المائة من اجمالى النفايات العالمية.
ورغم ان اول فقرة تناقش في هذه القمة, هي تاثير التلوث على البيئة, الا
ان الرئيس بوش وادارته تمتنع عن اتخاذ اجراءات تحد من انبعاث النفايات
في الولايات المتحدة الامريكية. ولقد اقترحت بريطانيا وفرنسا على انه
يجب ان يوسع الحلف الصناعي ليشمل خمسة دول نامية: وهي الصين, البرازيل,
جنوب افريقيا, الهند, والمكسيك.
وفي حقيقة الامر ان نشوء الدجي سفن في 1973 حينما انقطع البترول عن
الغرب بسبب مقاطعة الدول العربية الذي ادى الى كساد اقتصادي عالمي
حينئذ.
وقد رشح
الرئيس بل كلنتون روسيا الى الحلف عندما انتهت الحرب الباردة 1991,
واصبحت الدولة الثامنة في الحلف في سنة 1997.
ومن اعمال
الحلف كان اول شئ يتحدون فيه هو تقديم المعلومات في الحرب على الارهاب,
التي راينا اثرها في العالم.
وفي 1997
ناقشوا كيفية التغلب على التلوث البيئي للعالم. وكيفية تصنيع الطاقة
الصديقة للبيئة. ولكن لم ينبثق عنها اي شئ موجب. والانتقادات الموجهة
لهذه الدول هي ان هذه الدول الغنية تجعل من دول العالم الاخرى دول
فقيرة, عن طريق عقود المداينة للبنك العالمي, والعقود التجارية المجحفة.
والنفايات الصناعية التي تنبعث من المصانع وتحتوي على الكثير من ثاني
اكسيد الكربون الذي يعتقد بانه سبب في زيادة درجة حرارة الجو, ومن ثم
اذابة الجليد في القطبين.
ومن
الانتقادات الاخرى للتجي اييت, ان بعض هذه الدول تحتكر دواء مرض
المناعة, الذي سوف يكون صعب على الدول الفقيرة من توفيره لمرضى الايدز.
الخلاصة:
لا تنتظر
الا زيادة التلوث, زيادة الحروب, زيادة الفقر ولا شئ فيه فائدة يذكر.
Here come the polluters

Leaders of the biggest polluting countries in the
world called the G8 are meeting together in Japan.
Roughly they produce 70% of the global warming
emissions.
Although Climate Change is the first item on their
agenda, president Bush and his administration stop any proper
commitment to act to stop the increase of this phenomenon.
France and Britain have expressed the view that the
G8 has to be expanded to include five developed countries, namely;
Brazil, China, India, Mexico and South Africa.
The G7 emerged out of the 1973 Oil Crisis and the
trough in the worldwide economy that resulted from it. When the Cold
War ended in 1991, Russia was nominated by the initiative of USA
President Bill Clinton, and it then formally became the 8th state as
G7+1 in 1997.
Since 1995 the G7 had participated in developing an
international database on terrorism, which we saw the effects of.
However the June 1997 summit did touch on Global Warming and how to
produce energy efficiently. To date there has been no substantial
result from it.
This shows powerful nations can damage the world and
still not be punished for their greed of monopolising wealth.
The criticism directed at the G8, is that they are
making developing countries poorer through debt and trading policy.
In addition, the carbon dioxide emissions from the factories in the
industrial G8 countries contribute substantially to Global Warming.
Also with regard to the treatment of the medical
condition known as Aids, some of the G8 countries have a monopoly on
the essential therapeutic medicine. This affects the poorer
countries with high levels of HIV infection, due to the fact that
individuals cannot afford essential drug treatment.
In conclusion:
Watch what the G8 countries are going to do to the
world! More pollution, more wars, more poverty, and nothing useful.
