Shalluf Asks Security Council to withdraw Darfur File from ICC

Khartoum (smc): Chairman of the association of Eureopen- Arab Jurists and Advocates, Prof Al-Haid Shalluf, has called on the Security Council to withdraw Darfur file from the international criminal court, denoting that the withdraw will be on final basis and not a suspension for six month or a year.

Shalluf. A formed of the ICC and present chairman of the Association of European –Arab Jurists and Advocates, made his demand in the wake of Ocampo''s recent report.

He described the decision of the prosecutor general as having more bent on the political rather that the legal aspect, which , he added, is regrettable, indicating that the court centers on prosecution of Africans while turning a blind eye to the atrocities perpetrated in Iraq, Palestine, Somalia and others.
